Soups On

Post by N8tr Boy »

Well now that the Deer season is over I decided to make soup stock out of my turkey and deer tags. It's been simmering for a couple of days and is now ready to consume.

Do you mind if I throw in a bear tag, or would that make it spoil?

Hate to rub it in, but us successful hunters can have the real thing. :D

Nothing like a hot bowl of horn soup to warm your bones on a cold winter night.

We should have plenty of tags for a fine soup but it needs to be flavored up with some moose, elk, sheep, or something. You know like high end seasoning. :D
You should end up with a soup thicker than leftover split pea soup.
I can offer a moose tag, calf, mmmmm tender.

45 bucks a year?! That gets pricey with nothing to show for it, not even getting drawn...

Thanks, now I don't feel so bad about my $40 deer tag

OK, but at least buying a tag puts you in pool 1, and you have a tag to get a moose with. Planter is saying he puts up 45 just to enter the draw, and gets nothing but the hope to get a tag. What is the tag you bought good for, a calf? I dont moose hunt, so I have no clue.

Yes you can shoot a calf with the tag if you do not qualify for an adult tag that year.I will not travel to camp unless we have at least one adult tag though.

Depending on the WMU you want to hunt a gang of ten hunters might not draw an adult tag for many years at $450/yr
