To include a MNR officer on your hunt ......... well I can not see that happening. Just to be able to coordinate between the hunter and the officer could be a major hassle. Also I do not believe that there would be enough Officers to go around for each hunter in that area. Then about taking the animal to a check station, is that even possible or feasible. I do not think so. These elk are not the size of deer and some of the country that they habit are not farmers fields with roads or major trails next to them. How would you got the whole animal out of the bush to the check station. I bet most will have to be quartered or deboned to be taken out of the bush.

I hope that the MNR thinks this through fully before they put in regulations that will be impossible to follow through on.
