New to this world

Post by TonyBanks »

Greetings all,
my name is Tony and I am returning again to the world of archery after a very long hiatus. After several years (!) researching xbows on the net, Isettled on Excalibur, and I'm from what I've read since, I'm VERY glad Idid. I am NOT technically inclined and I DO NOT like to tinker with my gear. So, for me absolute reliabilty is key. Related to this is the issue I have with needing to trust my gear. It did take me a while to get over the very sexy wheels/cams thing, though...So these points were what confirmed Excalibur for me.
The other issue I have is that I like a modular approach to my weapons/gear.
When i used to live in a country which permitted the ownership of firearms, I went with the Glock series of pistols for much the same reason. I find the modular nature of Excalibur attracting me for the same reasons. Shared limbs, some interchangeabilty with parts is good for me. So, I lookn forward to learning about my gear from you guys. Good to be here.
Regards,
Tony Banks

Yeah they are like a new car ...at first they run real sweet and have a fresh new smell and it dont take much to make them happy and after a few years they start to spit and sputter and not run so smooth and then the high maintence starts ....then its time to trade her in ...
