Hard case

Post by Steve_Guelph »

I am looking for a hard case for travel for the Phoenix. I understand that you can take the limb off and leave it strung so that it can fit into a double gun case. The gun case is long and doesn't provide a good place to put the bolts and extra stuff. I recall a video that showed a compound bow case that stored the stock with scope still on and the limb still strung, storage for stuff and was a hard case. Anyone store or travel with such a case. I would like to hear how others store or travel with a hard case.

Thanks...Steve

There is a hard case made that will fit the Excalibur crossbows.
I don't recall who, but one of the members here posted a pic of his crossbow of his brow broken down and stored in a coumpound bow case. It fit in quite nicely.

A compound case is ideal, this Plano case fits the Excalibur like it was made for it. The stirrup goes around the handle perfectly to help support it too, no cutting at all, but I did need to add 1 extra strap.
The bow breaks down easily with 2 bolts, and it absolutely has no affect on the bows performance once reassembled.

Looks great. Think I'll get one. What is that horseshoe looking object on the riser?

That is exactly what I am looking for. Do you know what model Plano that is and where can I find one?

Thanks again...Steve
