Nice to meet you also, Welcome to the forum! Think MAY is the big word in your statememt. Because it MAY NOT also. If you bump your bow on the tree stand and a deer runs away, is that the bows fault or is it the treestands fault?

Re: vortex stock seems noise
I have a vortex and there is only two things on there that will make noise unless maybe your sitting there tapping a song on it. It is one solid piece, how couldt it possibly make any noise?
First thing is if you have a sling, the screws on the sling will dont seem to fully tighten up and rattle. The metal clip will also knock against the stock when walking ect. . Solution, wrap with tape.
Second problem could be a loose screw or something on your scope or trigger assembly.
Third, you may be en elephant with huge ears an great hearing. Or lay of the drugs.

the vortex stock is very noisy. i put a vey small rubber o-ring between the rear sling stud and the swivel. it tightens up enough so it doesnt make any clunky rattle sounds. also put a camo neoprene wrap around the buttstock. takes the noise and cold out.Missin wrote:

One of the first things I do when I get to my stand is take the sling off .
Any other rattles means something is loose .
