Impressions should soon be posted here as the first ones are being released. I may get one for my Y25. I think I'll clamp mine in a mill and square the edges to match the square character lines of the riser, that will look better the way I see it. Maybe I'll run the drill press through it a few times to lighten the stopper mounts. I hope that doesn't void my trigger warranty.....just joking...couldn't resist.

I like the looks of my NGSS. The lines of the NGSS and the crossbow flow together. Would like to see the new ones but will stay with my NGSS.

Yes got my excalibur string stopper today.

Took off a set of sts ones i had on my Vixen 2.

Put the excalibur ss onto the vixen 2.

Took them off and put the sts back on.

Very dissapointing. Sound and vibration (or lack of) were about the same.but the s5 puts an increase of 3/4 inch onto the brace height. The stopper cannot be adjusted at all, the rubber stop is a custom fit and so nothing else will fit and so you have to buy excalibur replacements.

It seems like its a quick fix but not better than alternatives, more thought could/should have gone into this product.

I wish they kept the protype bumpers on them instead of the ones they have now, I liked the look of the leather boxing gloves. 8)

sorry to hear that but it a big different between a Vixen II and Equinox like i said quieter then my compound bow very smooth to shoot had 4 guys there when i shot it and we all was like wow that is quiet. if you have a Equinox get ss string shock systemit works great i will never not have one after shooting it with it on that how good it worked on the Equinox :)

Not saying the S5 system does not work, in fact I think all the different string stoppers would work about the same, its the adjustability that gives the sts a slight advantage over the S5.

You can make the sts adjust up to your string.
The S5 has to have the string adjusted up to it.

If only Excalibur had made it adjustable they would of had an outright winner.

I hear what you are saying, but I think they have a winner with it anyways. Ajustablity would add to the price. Think that's in part likely some of the reason why it don't. MY OPINION ONLY. Heard awhile back they are going to come on the bigger bows. Will raise the price of the new bows to pay for string stops. That's just the way bussiness works.
