time to brag

Had a good year. Altogether we took 8 deer off our spot, between 7 different guys that hunted. 6 bucks and 2 does. All of the bucks were young deer. All were between 4 and 7 points. I had very good year myself, arrowing 3 of the bucks and one of the does. I had several other chances at does that I passed on. We saw some good bucks around, but they really never gave us any kind of opportunity. Oh well hopefully they will be even bigger next year.

Not a good year for me. Started off with some kind of bug that I couldn't shake for about the first 5 weeks or so of the season.

Then after that, due to being self employed, I couldn't get the time off. Only managed to get out 3 times this year. However, as I mentioned a few days ago, I have all year to check out my clients 200 acres that I can use for next year.

Had a great year but no huge deer the biggest was 184lb 8 points.
Both my boys 15 and 12 shot small bucks opening day.
I shot 3 bucks after the rifle season 2 year old bucks and the 8 pointer .
I also missed the biggest buck I have seen archery hunting,O well he will be here for next year.
The gang I hunt with shot 15 in the rifle season so we all have freezers full.

So, now that there are no more trophy photos being posted in the Trophy Room (which is a real bummer for everyone), is Excalibur gonna send the guys who harvested their bucks a brand new camo Excalibur cap ? . I know I could use a new one! mine's all faded... . It figures, I get my 14pt dream buck and it won't be posted in the trophy room, not fair!... ...
