Post by blackjack »

g'day, its just a pondering thought. but l was wondering about the holes in the riser where the new S5 bumpers fit. was bill.t thinking about terry''s munch mount when they were made ? or had bill.t been thinking of this great idea for a long time. for what ever use do they have the hole's in the riser..regards frank

Oh yes, companies worry about making there stuff to fit the after market stuff. You can run a rangefinder mount with a top quiver as well. I use my rangefinder on the scope mount and a top quiver to inspect my arrows.

Good bussiness practise, Harley Davidson looks at all the new after market stuff, then builds a new bike so it all fits on.

The holes are used as a locator for machining . Also to allow chips and coolant to pass through . Anybody who have drilled or machined know how much a pain it is to have this stuff involved while anodizing . :?

I think this is the right answer in order to make them the same each time they need to be set on a milling machine the same. The holes give them that.
