Wanting to Shoot an Exocet 200

Post by mountainxbow »

I am really pleased with my Equinox, and am considering adding an Exocet 200. I would like to shoot one first, and wonder if anyone in western North Carolina or upstate South Carolina has one I could shoot a couple of arrows thru to see how I like it. Or, does anyone on the Forum have both and would tell me what they think. I use a crank cocker, so that is not an issue. Thanks!

g'day, they are both great bows the power range is a bee's dick between the two of them l tend to be leaning towards the normal rifle stock as l love my exomax l have a couple myself & one thing forsure is that you'll love it as much as your equinox both are great models to have. & also the 200 lb models are abit kinder on strings as well. regards frank

The pluses of dropping the 25# outweighed the cons for me. Arrows are a tad easier to find after pass thrus, sewrving life better, just much easier on the bod. I was in love w/ my Emax til I shoot the Ecet.

Danny will probably let you shoot one of his, or loan you a rail so you can try yours w/ it. I ca get from 290 to 315 fps depending on string and arrow choice, seem to prefer the heahier 446 gr at 295 fps. YMMV

Traded the Equinox for a Vortex as former was too much bow for my 70 yr old shoulders to cock repeatedly. Then a overlooked :D Phoenix followed me home from the bow shop. It's the bow I now shoot most often to include a 'speed bow' compound.
Vortex (Exocet) is a good choice, but not that much different from 'the Beast." Easier on serving, slightly smoother shot and more than enough power to hunt anything that walks on this continent. If you want to shot often I'd settle for the Phoenix or Ibex.
Vortex, Phoenix, single-shot rifles and handguns.
Incurable tinkerer.
Why hunt? Simple, it's BASIC. Why breath?!
