SELLING SX3 shot gun

my buddie bought his super x 3 shot gun and he is wondering how much people are willing to pay for it he is willing to to post the price starting at $1.300 and is is 1 year old

I'd say he's a bit high. The camo version is only $1,400 brand new and the black version just over $1,100. If it's been used I can't see getting more than $1,000 for it even if it is in great shape.

Yep. A little high. I can get the Black or Gun Metal colors for a little under $1100.
I would say to start around $900.

he is right here right know he said 1050 is good and it comes with 4 different chokes and comes with a turkey choke.the gun is in waterfowl duck blind camo. the gun is in good shape and i will pay shiping and handeling.

Your Friend can sell it for what he wish's. That's the good thing about being the seller.
However if you look at it from the buyer's point of view, would they spend the same for a used Gun (less tax)
as they would for New. If your friend wants to sell fast, he will have to drop to a more enticing price.
If he can wait, then he can try to recover more of his costs. My opinion would be, whatever he paid for total, he will lose the tax paid plus around $200. These are only are opinions, nothing else.
That gun is Very Good and I hope he sells it. Take care.

The SX3 is a very sale-able shotgun but it is a bad time of year to sell it. If your buddy can hold on to it until late summer he'll probably have a better chance of getting a good buck for it.
It really is tough to get good money for used guns even if they are in great shape. I have two in the cabinet now both of which I bought used and both were in mint, unfired condition when I bought them. One listed for around $650 new and I got it for $400 and the listed for around $1900 and I got it for $700. All he can do is put it out there and see what happens.
