S5 Install - No Serving Mention

Post by bkisel »

Hi,

[How important is it to re-serve, with a longer serving, in respect to using the S5?]

Just installed the S5 on my Exocet 200. The instructions make no mention of re-serving for the purpose of having the serving extend beyond the rubber bumpers. Also, if you take a close look at the 2nd photo on the instruction page you'll see clearly that it shows the S5 installed with a standard length (4" I believe it is) serving, each end finishing right about in the middle of each bumper.

Thanks,
Bill K.

I serve my verticals where string stop hits. But string is alot bigger. You don't have to serve them it is personal choice. Crossbow string is alot shorter and if you serve 2 more inchs of the string it will lose some speed. Excalibur has done extensive testing and have no plans to serve more of the string.
