Favorite canadian gun supplier?

Post by xbowkidd »

just wondering if i could pick your brains... I have been trying to order a savage axis xp in 25-06 and it seems like everyone carries them but no one has them in stock. i have tried about a dozen places and keep getting the same response "they are on the way, but i cant say when they will get here...". just thought you guys might have a place or two i could try. i don't care where it comes from, as long as they can legally ship it to Ontario. I realize many of you would find this to be a less than high quality gun but i have a little guy being born in the next few weeks so price point is everything. thanks.

My fav place to deal is Trigger and Bows. But then you know how often I get to buy guns.

BTW, try telling your wife that it's tradition for the father of a newborn boy to get a new gun!

I'm sure you tried wholesale sports, Danny Miller, oops, just used to seeing everybody putting his name up! :D There's nothing wrong with a savage, they fill the freezer just as good as a browning! P.S. Congrats on the upcoming event! May all go as planned.

I'd give Lake Huron Rod & Gun a try. He has the Savage Axis in stock in .22-250, .243 and .223.

Phone: 519-368-4867

And before anybody asks, I have no interest in the place, other than buying 4 guns and my Exocet from them :)

Give this one a try:
Russell Sporting Goods
Suite 128, 8228 MacLeod Trail SE, Calgary, AB T2H2B8
(403) 258-0545
Fax (403) 640-2911

I cannot find their website but I do know they were not very tech savy  but were good to deal with a number of years ago.

Russell's is no more. They were absorbed by Wholesale Sports I'm told.

Try these guys if you haven't already.
