Got my trigger back/ Serving test/ pic added

Post by strum »

My Exomax seemed to be a serving eater so i talked with Boo who told me before i spend the money on shipping and a Boo trigger job,
call Dan Miller and see what he says,,
I did just that and Dan says send it in Ill take care of it..
So just to brag on Dan here is what he did..He replaced the latch and polished it a bit, and cleaned/greased the unit
Then he reserved the string i sent him so he could see the cut serving, then he gave me another string and gave me some extra scope mount screws!! man is that service or what?..
I know the exomax is pretty bad on serving but I wasnt getting very much life at all..
I see there is a thread testing a new Boo string so I figger ill do my own little test..just for fun
I have a excel string. thats it ..no whiskers or stoppers. i just want to see how many shots i will get ..both Boo and Dan asked me that question and I tried to be truthfull in saying under 100 maybe 70 but its hard to guess so i put a board in my shop with a sharpie so i can keep up with my shots..I put the string Dan reserved on and shot 12 times..Before i put it on i waxed every bit of it loops and all with Tec-Tite ( i have some daltons comming) and i waxed my rail with some good quality car wax(just to get it real slick)
So that it ill try to update every day or so .
Today my last 5 shots at 20 yards standing, no prop(offhand) were all in the spots so im good with the performance so far..
I think the trigger feels much smoother and has a crisper release.

hey strum not that it really matters I am just curious did Danny have you remove the trigger assembly and send it or did you send him the bow? Last weekend I was at the ohio deer and turkey expo and got to meet danny he is a real nice guy enjoyed talking to him.
