Advantage of Ground Pounder or Munch Mount over std?

Post by Aero320 »

I see discussions of the Munch Mount and Ground Pounder. What is the advantage over the standard Excal mounts?

I like it because it evens the wieght over top of the bow instead of one side. Easier to carry with a sling. For me thats the reasons.

With my GP mount I can stand my bow up

instead of laying it down

Allows you to use a sling, a lot easier to use a rope cocker, can rest my bow in my lap while in the stand without the arrows getting in the way and it allows you to do this with your bow. :D

I first came up with the GROUNDPOUNDER because I got tired of my quiver of arrows banging in my back when I carried the xbow slung over my shoulder. Another benifit is balance. The mount is centered over the top of the xbow versus hanging off to one side. Another benifit is bench shooting or just sitting your xbow down. With the factory quiver attached you will be resting it on the arrows unless you remove the quiver first. This is just to name a few

I love my quiver mount but will add that I no longer make it to sell. I have gotten busy with other hobbies :D

Does the Much Mount allow you to rest your bow on the ground as does the Ground Pounder (since the Ground Pounder is no longer available).

Thanks

Yes, the munch mount fastens to the xbow the same way the groundpounder does.

You can have your Munch Mount customized for yourself. Terry does nice work on his Munch Mount. Check it out. Terry aka Munch is a really decent guy.

Personally I prefer Wyvern's mount.

I still like the look of that wyvern mount but I found it easier to just run without a quiver I use a tube that has two smaller tubes in it so I can take two arrows with me.It goes on the side of my pack.
