I read the headline and stopped there. People who take this position put no thought into the traditions of fishing and hunting and the role they played in evolution.

Let me see...how could I throw a wrench into PETAs deal. Hmmm...If I lived near there I think the garbage cans at the rest area would be a good place to get rid of all the fish I just cleaned. I wish I had a rest area that PETA ran around here. It would provide me with hours and hours of entertainment. Gary

What amazes me is that people support PETA at all. It doesn't take a lot of digging to uncover that they are nothing to do with 'ethical' anything, but are simply a fund-raising organization for their own pockets.
Few things tick me off more than PETA, and their bold-faced lies.

PETA & another dz just like make millions from USA tax payers! This file all kinds of suits in Federal court & have a staff of lawyers you can't believe. Feds can't do all the required data so by default those Org.s make well over $400 million every yr not counting the lawyer fees that get paid!

I think it is funny. PETA is not serious about it because what goverment is going to give a cut rate on pricing on anything because they are a non profit group. Likely have a lineup of companies willing to pay the full price for advertizing. Think it is just a way of ruffling some feathers for the price of a stamp.

The only thing this does give them is free advertising in the papers. Still pi$$es me off though.

This is sad to even think they are trying to do this. This is what our nation has come to, for limiting the kids to nothing but video games, they have never enjoyed the outdoors, fishing or hunting and so on. If they were really intrested in helping with anything, they should be working on keeping the land and waters clean of trash and chemicals. Follow some of them down the road and they are probably some of the people pitchiing trash out of the window, just as long as it dont hit a animal of some sort. then it would be considered a weapon.

bugs wrote:If that ever happened I would never travel in the state! I often wonder how many PETA members have a house built on what used to be a woodlot or farmers field, how many own wooden furniture and waste money on the newest fashion to end up in a landfill etc.... It is all about not eating or killing an animal yet they do nothing else to protect the animals habitat  ... But us hunters do :D

Bugs I think you just hit a home-run :)

PETA are a bunch of ignorants, as many of the institutionalized "ecologists" associations are. Those idiots 'ideas pollutes every modern country in the world.

They are the same people that care about "protecting wildlife from evil hunters" and that support higher taxes on fuel because, see, it's not "green". Funny part is they mostly live in big cities and can't live without hi-tech products that have a very negative effect on environment. Just check out the incredible amount of packaging you get when buying any cell phone...
They have no interest in people's life, education and lifestyle, they go backwards evolution of mankind.

Not paying attention to them is the only way to deal with them.

EDIT : I'm wondering what PETA things about this :
http://enenews.com/radioactive-iodine-1 ... r-standard
Because this will kill a bunch of animals. But nuclear is so green, right ?
