cocking the bow

Post by red-oak »

Hi I just bought an excocet and I can't cock it to fire it ? Is there a trick to useing the cocking rope ?? I can pull it but some times the hooks seam to skip and end up all of one side of the bow and when I'm standing straight up the string is to fare away from the locking. do I need to shorten the string ?? Or is there a trick to cocking it ??

one hook on each side of the rail and centre of string goes in the groove at the back underneath the saftey. Then you can shorten the rope when you are sure you are connected up right

Good answer above. You should also have an instructional dvd with your xbow that shows how to cock and uncock your bow.
