Best Shops Around Toronto To View CB

Post by PC800 »

Hi,
I'm looking at purchasing an Excalibur CB and need advice on where to see/handle all the models. Especially the new AXIOM - For under $500 for a 175 lb package - sounds like an fab deal!
Thanks
Adam

You might want to call Excalibur or try this. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/dealers
I think Dereck may be right about Gagnon Sports (905-725-5798) having the biggest selection. Craig would be the most knowledgeable in the archery department. I think your next closest would be Bass Pro and then The Bow Shop in Waterloo. Unless Stash still works there you might not get much knowledgeable help. Lots of places carry Excaliburs but they don't carry the full line.
Where in Toronto do you live?

I haven't worked at Bass Pro for over a year.

The Toronto Bass Pro sells more Excaliburs than any one other retail store, tons in stock all the time, and you can shoot one there before you buy, and after you buy it they will let you sight it in for short range. Try to go on a weekday (mornings are slowest this time of year). Call ahead (905 761-4000, ask for archery dept) and see if Jay or Brian are on duty - they'll take care of you. There are a couple of new people working in Archery as well, but they started after I left so I don't know how competent they are.
