As a teacher I frown upon you for allowing your son to miss class time...who am I kidding!? That's awesome. My son is only 7 months old but I pray every night to have moments like yours, congrats!

Congrats Pyd, neither one of you shall forget that hunt. It is those kind of memories that we are worth hunting for.

On the bright side, you Suzuki being stuck, you could use it as a blind next time out. :D

Hey Pyd! I remember on a fishing trip on the Skeena we did a lot of 4-wheelin (cuz we had to to get in!) Trucks not only got stuck on the bush roads, but if you left them overnight they sank. I remember seeing one in a shop in town that had been towed out by a dozer - mud to the roof of the cab.

One great little truck that never got stuck was an old Suzuki, pre-Samuri. The owner had made a pseudo-duelly out of it - I think he used extended lug nuts and just put an extra pair of wheels on the rear.

Had a new Suzuki truck back in '85. A bunch of us would go off-roading and that little thing would go place the big trucks couldn't follow. Had more than one try to and hang up. They've got a great power/weight ratio and are a lot of fun - if you can get over the feeling of bouncing around in a tin can!
 Of course, I'm way to grown up and serious for such silly now. hahahaha :D

Thanks all! It has been a pretty exciting 24 hours around here. Our bird was brought to a big bird contest, then home to be processed.
Last year I won a free turkey mount in a big bird contest, I think I may just cash in on it. :D
Lots of successful hunters out there, congratulations to all of them!
