Tragic Events----Again

Post by N8tr Boy »

In Listowel Monday night around 11 pm a fire broke out in a house on Main street. A 47 year old mother name Lori Hamilton perished after running back in thinking her kids were still in.This is a second tragedy in a small community. Lori was a school friend in all the years I was in High school, in choir and other classes. I had lost touch over the years as I got married to a wonderful woman but to loose a school friend in such a way still touches a nerve. I also lost a close friend to cancer 2 years after graduating  . Please pray for the 5 children remaining without a mom.

There is a car wash/meal fundraiser planned for next friday to help the family and also the fire fighters who died in the store fire 1 month ago. Hitting the community pretty hard. The fundraiser is t the Listowel High School in a parking lot from 11 am-1 pm Friday the 20th.
