As evidence also include agingcrosbower's link to the thread on this forum that documents the start to finish build of Don's crossbow stock.

Best not to if it was mailed or sent as a gift. Could open another can of worms.

Isn't it amazing how one customs person can give your whole country a black eye? Maybe you elected your new conservative government just in time. Gary
My apologies to the Canadian members and Canadian customs. It was our own evil government bureaucrats that caused this snafu, not the Canadians. A pox upon US customs and the whole city of Chicago for that matter.
I hope you get that stock back. Too many hours of work to write it off. Gary

Dan, we are just going to leave this alone.
I'm sorry, Don, I tried. You are right about not getting stressed out over a material object, I have to say I don't think the forum would let either Mike or Darryl or whoever take one in the shorts. Too much generosity here. I think these guys put a part of themselves into every project that leaves their talented hands.

On a lighter note, I guess we learned back in the late 1700's one can fight city hall.

This relates to US law and their insistance that all firearms related objects have an export permit. Under US law a crossbow is not related at all to a firearm, and obviously this is a wrongful seizure, have you been able to find a contact who is up the ladder a notch or two from the stooge who grabbed the stock and discussed the situation with them?
