After letting the opening day bird walk for Dad . I have been chasing a few unwilling birds . This morning that changed .
As I was walking in this morning I bumped a bird where they normally have not been roosting . So I sat down as not to disturb anything else . At about 5:45 I had a hen RIGHT BEHIND AND ABOVE me start to cluck alot . He did not even gobble while walking in, just a couple of soft clucks . That is what caught my attention . I kind of jellyheaded him when he walked into the clear at 15 yards .
He ended up weighing 19 pounds 9 ounces , 1 inch spurs and a 10 inch beard .

I was going to hunt today in 92B this morning but it's a complete wash out with all day rains down here.
