I know whatever you make will make an amazing and useful knife.
Thanks,

First of all . . .don't give a knife to a woman that cuts her fingers like that!

How about this . . .a six inch blade damacus with a handle to match. Very well balanced. Send it to my address for testing. I'll let you know if it passes the test. Maybe.

If it's what I'm thinking you are talking about, it's called the 'Sharp Finger', harder than Chinese arithmetic, and the import copies are junk.

You see them still used at rummage sales.

Similar to the knife wabi won, a filet style knife.

I have a Schrade Sharp Finger that I found while out hunting. It doesn't have a sheath with it so I always assumed it had fallen from the previous owners sheath! :(

Don't know what it was, but I do remember that getting the freezing needle under the nail was worse than getting the cut.

I was piercing a doe's ear to insert a tag. Was a bit tough to puncture so I shifted the knife and it aligned nicely with my finger behind the ear. DOH. Wrapped it in t.p., put an elastic around it, got into the harness and helped dragged the deer across a couple of mud fields, hung it in a tree, then went to get stitches.

I did it with my larger Buck knife - nice knife, but since then I now prefer to carry the smaller Browning. Both knives were gifts from Tim earlier in our relationship. :D

This is my favorite blade shape - the Browning, my purse and hunting knife:

This is the Buck - great feel, but a bit more knife:

This is one of two identical Frost knives we received from a friend for our wedding - they don't look fancy, but they're great for grouse and pheasant:

I like the idea of something with a Damascus blade I just love the unique look of Damascus steel for a knife it gives some cool character and not everyone has one

Lots of good suggestions. I'd really like to give away a Damascus knife but the cost of good "Made in the USA" Damascus is pretty expensive. But.......... You never know . I will not use Damascus made in India or Pakistan as it's pur junk and I won't be associated with that crap.

I'll see what I dream up.

who says you have to give it away? make it an auction as a fundraiser for a charity that you feel strongly about and people will open up their hearts and wallets to support it and you could cover your costs and donate the rest to your chosen charity
