Well, the surgery didn't happen today. I was at the hospital with the IV started and had waited an hour when the nurse came in and told me the doctor would be there in another 2 hours - I told her he would be there, but I wouldn't!
Re-scheduled for next month.
A day almost wasted, but I came home and grabbed the fly rod and headed to the lake to salvage what was left of the day.

Caught a few bluegills and crappie and one bass, but he wasn't quite big enough to try out the new knife on.
(that's a 3wt reel - about 3 1/4" diameter)

I am like you Wabi. If a Dr is 15.min late K.M.A. I'm in the wind. At my age every minute is precious and I feel mine time is at least as important to me as the Dr feels his time is worth. I can always find another Dr.
