Heir Loom knives by DaGriz

Post by strider23 »

I asked Darrel if he could make me a knife that I could pass down to my two sons when they will be old enough to use and care for it. He responded to the task by building me a beautiful Damascus bladed knife for gutting deer. This knife is to be passed on to my son Hunter who is currently 4yrs old. My youngest son Ranger is just over 1yr but he was born with Down Syndrome so my wife and I aren't sure what his physical and cognitive abilities will be like several years from now.So, I wasn't expecting Darrel to make a second knife for my youngest son and slip it into the package with the first knife. (Darrel, I'll try to get you some funds to compensate you for the second knife).

Now here are the pics....everyone sit back and enjoy!!!! :D :D

Your sons will surely be proud to have them when the time comes! :)

Andy,

You don't owe me anything for the second knife.

Please accept it as my gift to your son!

Darrel, your generosity has left me near speechless. Words can't describe your kindness.

I want everyone to know that both knives fit the hand perfectly, especially on the small knife with that thumb relief you added to the top of the blade. They both have a natural feel and balance that is really awesome. :D :D
