Our little dog " Spike " has passed ....

Post by R.J. »

Man you think I would get use to this over the years ...

But another one of our animal family has passed ...

Many of you will remember " Spike " ... his picture showed up in many of my threads ....

He got along with everyone !

Image

Image

When " Sally " was still around " Spike " chased her everywhere and they shared many an outdoor adventure .....

Image

Image

Sometimes he got it the way ... but was always fun to have along !

Image

He loved his time outdoors ....

Image

But in his later years he was more than happy to hitch a ride ....

Image

Image

Image

And curling up to cuddle was his favorite passtime ....

Image

We awoke last night to a fright ... he had a violent siezure ?? He seem to snap out of it and I wrapped him in blanket where he curled up on the couch ( his favorite spot ! ) ... I figured I would take him to the vet in the morning ... I fell asleep beside him , and when I woke he had passed .... I buried him in a nice spot at my wife's wild flower garden ... a big marker for a little dog ... my wife wanted it that way .

Image

I'm going to miss seeing him poking around while I do chores ...

Image

I hope there is a place for dog's to run after they leave us ....
