OK so i have my new Axiom SMF and was wondering, how hard should the string ride the rail?
If I lift the string and slip a piece of paper under it i have to apply a good bit of force to slide it out.
Any advice would be great.

Re: Newbie question
HELLO: I'am sure you'll hear from the forum members soon, they know crossbows, much more then I do. All I can tell you is that both of our excal's do seem to have a little bit of string pressure on the rail, we've shot many arrows out of them, with no problems, I'am more then likely wrong, but I think a little bit of string pressure on the rail, help's with keeping string centered on the nock when shooting????? I'am sure you'll hear soon from the ones who know for sure.

Re: Newbie question
That is normal no worries however you will want to get a spare string and a string changer also it is a good idea to learn how to reserve your own string as this is about the only thing that requires regular maintenance kind of like a oil change for your bow.
