Greetings,and a Question?

Post by Time-N-Flight »

Im coming into the Crossbow fold, after more than 40 years shooting a compound.Getting up in age,my shoulders are giving me problems.I have a Equinox Lite Stuff package, due to be delivered TODAY! (NICE) Iv been making Arrows and String's for the Vertical Bow ,for quite a few years, but I have a question on the Bolt Insert on the Nock end.Iv read in a Post, that it is not a good idea,to use a Point Insert,on the Nock End!

I just completed making up a dozen Easton Power Bolts, and was forced to use the Point insert, for the Nock insert.....because I can not find anything especially made for the Power Bolt Nock End.Could one of you fine people, enlighten me,as to what Im looking for,and where to go to get a visual peek at the Critter? Many Thanks!,and what a Great Board to read through!
Thanks Again!

I haven't looked fer a nokend to that arrow shaft. Nothing wrong with using front inserts. Just cut it down to 5/16" or 3/8" & bevel the the edge so it won't abraid yer string serving

I think Wyvern Creations has those nock type inserts for Easton shafts.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new Excal!! :)
Sounds like you found what yer lookin' for but if not front inserts will work fine as nocks but as mentioned just check them for sharp edges.
