They kind of look the same to me, I bought the X-act just because it said excalibur on the pack 8) For us the fly the same as the 100 grain target tips, there on the money out to 50 yards in the vortex, & out to 30 yards on the ibex (thats as far as the wife has shot it so far). I found the head to be very tuff, the same head as been in a block target & a rienheart 3D over 50 times, been though many jugs filled with water, etc. & it still has yet to open in flight.

Wayne i remember when u posted on one of my threads you said you were doing some broadhead testing. Did the X-act perform the best out of the bh you tested?

HELLO: Yes, for me they did, fly like target tips (POI) out of both bows, with both firebolts & CB maxiums, very tuff head, no muss or fuss, quick opening when they hit, angle shots seem ok, fast water draining when hitting the jug, etc...... It's looking like they will be what the wife & I will be using this year..... kind of think that's why Mr. Bill T puts the excalbur name on the pack.
But as funds allow I will still be test more B/H's ..... I just like doing it!!!!

I have both Xact anD Spitfires. Both fly the same out of Vortex and Axiom out to 30 yards. I killed a 5pt.with a Spitfire and the blood trail was incredible. Works for me.

Just tried both spitfire xp's and x-act today. X-act's group size was half that of the spitfires. I can only assume that the small portion of the spitfires blades exposed are curved which causes the arrow to spin more but also causes a loss of accuracy. This may be nonsense but nonetheless the x-acts are more accurate without a doubt.

P.S. Both were shooting the approximate same point of impact as field tips but the x-act were dead on.

This sounds good to me, I am planning to try my first mechanicals this year, and I chose X-acts because they are endorsed and tested by Excalibur.
