string

Post by gametrail »

I got a new string off Danny [ It is a nice one] But I am having trouble getting it to stretch out. It is still 2 inches from my line. It has been a month of shooting what esle can I do. Will it hurt the bow that way?

It won't hurt the bow to shoot the string when the it sits above the highest brace height mark. It's just a waste of speed.
Is it a Dynaflight string, endless loop Dacron string (called an Excel string) or a Dacron Flemish string (called a Super String)?
Which line are you referring to, the one closest to the trigger (we call it the highest brace height mark).
A picture is worth a thousand words!

Is it a Flemish string?
Is your bow a 175 Exocet or a 165 Exocet?
Are the end of your limbs carved or do they have mag tips (square plastic caps)?
Look at the second picture down.
