What's with some people?

Bloodhound is under quarintene for ten days again. Second time someone walked through my side yard and reached over a four foot fence to pet my bloodhound and got bit. Health dept ask me whats with people reaching over your fence to pet him. Atleast both ladies admitted that they reached over fence to pet dog when no one was home. Dog is friendly as all heck once he smells you. From then on he is great. I don't understand some people.

Thing to many people have watch the Beverly Hillbillies gowning up. Bloodhounds are not like that. They are very protective and a one owner dog. Even breader told me that bloodhounds don't listen or perticularly like women. They only listen to deep sturn voice. They want to try to dominate everyone. I never lean down to my dogs because that is a sign that they can dominate you. Everyone thinks he is a big teddy bear because he always looks sad. Last lady reached over the fence and hugged him. Three stitches for her. This time was just a nip. No blood but she went running to the hospital. Everyone in my town knows they are hunting dogs. Got a 6 foot solid wood fence around 3/4's of my yard. Got all the wood posts here for the rest of it, just have to get them cemented in. Costing me over three grand for the new fence because of stupitity.

Does he work pretty well?

I am am thinking about getting a bloodhound, I volunteer with local mountain rescue. And would be great to have him dual trained for blood tracking.

I have a trainer to work with me on it who has 2 that have made several successful tracks

He loves to work and works very well. Have to always keep his mind busy. Gets bored very easy. I have a personal trainer as well. She says my dog doesn't have any strikes against him because both admitted they reached over the fence.

wheelie do you have signs up saying "BEWARE OF DOG" ....some areas dogs can be labeled vicious and 3 strikes he done....but you have a taller fence going up so STUPID can't get in then ..........bob
