Muck Boots

Post by Onetimeonly x--> »

I needed to replace my old hunting boot. Read several
reviews on them so I decided to make the purchase.
I picked up a pair of Woody Max today. I asked the salesman
what's so special about them and he said, all he knows
is that everyone who buys them is happy with their purchase!
Any owners of a Muck Boot and what's your thoughts? Good/bad?

I love mine. The most comfortable pair of boots I have owned.

I had to experiment with the right socks to wear...they are very warm.

One thing learned........the top of mine are neoprene and they won't breathe when you tuck your hunt pants inside.

Most times I just wear liner socks. In extreme cold a second layer is used.

Wouldn't part with them now.
If the thrill of the hunt is lost, then I have lost.

I'm on my third pair, been wearing them for work all throughthe winter.
I keep a short pair in the car for when we go to field shoots and the other long pair are in my van waiting for winter or for me to use when I'm patio cleaning with a pressure washer.
They're plenty warm enough without special socks in the winter time but we don't get it as cold as you guys.
Most comfortable rubber boot I've ever worn.

Another happy owner. I've always had a problem with cold feet. Since I've been wearing the Mucks, my pac boots have been collecting dust. I wear them with a liner and a mid-wgt sock. If its real cold I just add some chemical toe warmers. They're also easy to get off at the end of the day. You're gonna love them!

I have looked at these boots several times and allways thought they wouldnt be very warm at least thats what it looks like to me but it sounds like from what you guys say thats not the case? I have been wearing rocky boots for years but keep looking at the muck boots if they are as warm as my rocky boots I may give em a try

I have some too.
When I was looking for the right pair I was told to go one size up when I got Mucks, and I didn't listen. Mine are a perfect fit when I wear normal socks, and it is like cruising the woods in my favorite running shoes. But when it gets cold (real cold) I don't have the room for heavy socks, and if I do manage to squeeze in there is little room for air, which makes for cold feet.
The boots are great boots, dry and comfortable. I would buy them again and again, but one size up next time.

Like everyone else I have had mine for a couple of years. Work great in snowshoes hunting coyotes all winter. I have the Arctic Pro very warm. Very easy on and off. But as Pydpiper says get size bigger. I'm acually 9.5 but usually go 10. With Muck boots and Basspro life guaranteed socks I find 11 are perfect. If you want a good price in the Kitchener Waterloo are Ontario Seed company have them at very reasonable price.

Pydpiper, I had the salesman bring me a 10 & 11 to try on.
With my regular socks on I had one foot in a 10 and one foot
in a 11. The 10 was perfect and the 11 a little loose. The
salesman let me use a pair of heavy weight socks to compare
the fit I went with the 11. Fit perfect with both pairs of socks.
One size larger is the way to go!
