I'm taking off from 11/9-11/19 off that's peak rut hunting for me here in Ohio.
Can't wait love that time of year. Always wanted a Halloween harvest but for some reason can't seem to make it happen.
But new season,New bow time to make things happen.
Good luck Boo

I'm off 10-31 to 11-6 to try and catch the rut in NJ. Usually its 1st or 2nd week in Nov., but just before peak is real good while they're still hunting for miss hotty, before they get too crazy & nothing you do can stop em from chasing the hot Doe. Its always a fun time to be in the woods.

The best time to hunt where I am in NW Florida is the second week of January. First and third aren't bad, but from 6 or so through 12 or so is about the only time outside of early archery that I see any bucks. Good news is that if you archery hunt here, your season runs from Oct 22 through almost the end of February!!!!

I used to hunt a couple times each year outside of Troy. I'd end up up there around mid January for a three day hunt. Pretty strict rules on that piece, but I got to see some cool stuff... Including bucks chasing does ALL around this one very small green field. Probably twenty deer on a one acre field just running around in circles like they had gotten into some real good cat nip! Don't see much if that here un fl.
