I asked one local "official" guy to score it for me and he said not until the drying period is over? My neighbor is pretty good at that stuff and he came up with 177 gross, but did not count the extra brow tine on the right side and one small point on the left side. The extra brow is like 5" and the small point is 1", so that would make him approx. 183. After deductions he will be very close to the magic net of 170" B&C. I guess we'll find out when we take him to Deer and Turkey Expo in March. My 11 y/o son was lucky enough to get a 13 point just 5 days later off the same corn field, so we'll take them both down there and make a family get-away weekend of it in Columbus!
Here's a pic of my son's buck.

My son was walking past the computer just now... he said nice Avitar pic Dad... it makes the bucks tines look longer and you look skinnier. I told him "I'm no dummy!"

That's a nice buck your son got as well!

You may want to check into the BuckMasters scoring system. It doesn't get as much attention as P&Y or B&C, but I like their system better. They don't count spread (since it's not a measure of antler but of air) and there's no deductions. They believe (and rightfully so) that antlers are God's creations, growing in different configurations, and shouldn't be penalized for what "someone" decides is a perfect rack. :D
