Deja Vu... thanks again Excalibur. 11 y/o son connects!

Post by ohioexocetfan »

Sitting on the ground with bi-pod and Exocet. 11 y/o son and I really like this bow... what's not to like? Over 800 inches of antler in 5 years between he and I sharing it. Put our 6th buck notch in the stock last night once everything calmed down before going to bed. Typical 10 w/ 3 brow tines on one side and one little kicker on his left side. 13 points all together.

Noticed deer have been leaving Dad's corn field in the late afternoons and crossing our pasture, headed to hay field. We set up in the pasture, against an old oak. He never knew we were there. He thrased a tree for several minutes before he got to us... what a show. I stopped the buck at 15 yards broadside. I whispered to him "now" and he sent the GTII and Slick Trick 100 into the armpit... the same bolt and broadhead that I shot my big buck with less than a week ago. After the shot, son turns around and tells me I breathe funny and I need to calm down  Buck went about 80 yards... very little blood trail but we found him just the same. Another great day in God's creation! 9 y/o son and 7 y/o daughter say they are next. Still a lot of hunting days left, so just maybe...
