Knife sharpening

Post by masboy »

I can,t ever get my knifes as sharp as I would like till now. Just got some paper wheels one with fine grit and one you put rouge on.it all came in a kit called razor sharp and fits a 6 inch Bench grinder.tried it out on all our spam knifes for some practice.first one I done shaved hair on my arm and all are now razed sharp. then done my buck 110 and my big sheath knife all will shave now. No more dull knifes for me . It,s fast an easy the best sharpened I ever used.the kits 34.00 and should last a long time. You can sharpen about any thing on it. I had a guy at a basspro in booth sharpen my buck on one years ago and was the sharpest I ever seen a knife .can,t wait to do some deer and fish with a sharp knife.

Sounds pretty good! Nothing worse then a dull knives when proccessing your game.

Being a knife freak, One develops a sharpener fetish. I've had most of them, but the one that impresses me most, Boo turned me onto.

It's called the 'G-5 Sportsmans Stick. Google it for a pic. Works good for my slick Trick blades too.

Left handers [like me] will have to reverse the carbides, they are tapered on cutting edges.

Checked out that G5 sharpener. It looks simple to use and small enough to be easy to carry anywhere. Just might have to get me one of those. :)
