Has anybody tried one with a crossbow I need something
smaller and portable and lighter any suggestions.

I tried one last year during turkey season and found that it didn't have enough room on the inside for crossbow use. Mine was the single chair version, a double chair may be more forgiving but I don't think it will. The problem is the room from front to back just isn't big enough for me. It may be for a smaller person.

I made a 5-by-5 blind out of pvc. Framed out 3 sides with pvc, put on hinges, put pipe insulation around top for padding, put on camo material. Made it perfect height for folding chair or bucket seat. Lay a piece of 1*2 across back for stability. Like to set it up in advance and lay limbs up against it for extra camo.
