I'm right there with you! When I get something, I want it to be right. I understand manufacturing defects happen (I work in a manufacturing industry), but if they do happen, I expect it to be made right at the first opportunity. If not, I return the item and never do business with that person/company again.

Would love to tell you how great it shoots, but I can't. The two bolts that hold the limbs on are not in the box! Pissed off wuld be an understatement ... Called the shop that I ordered it from and of course they were closed. I'm a firm believer in doing things right the first time. So I'll give this dealer one shot to make things right, and by right I don't mean merely sending me the bolts that should have been sent in the first place. Otherwise the bow is going to be shipped right back to him.
From what you say I think you believe in giving people a second chance.

Well I live in Houston...

I just got my new Votex as well. I wonder if we ordered from the same person....initials "D.M"?

I had taken a quick look at it before having to work on one of my habitat projects, and it had crossed my mind while in the field that I didn't remember seeing any of the same bolts. So after reading your post I started digging. I found the Scope Mounting Bracket box with some stuff in it which was strange as the scope had already been mounted and sighted in by the dealer. So I opened it and there were the two bolts along with a set of Allen wrenches, etc.

I looked everywhere, several times and they were not shipped to me with the bow. I didn't order it from D.M.
Bummer. When you can't fix it with duct tape, super glue, JB-Weld, or bailing wire, then indeed, 'we have a problem'.

THAT, had to of hurt. All that toy in front of you and not being able to play with it. Can't imagine the pain. Hope it works out for you. Sounds like a sweet bow. Good Luck! :)

One guy had the same problem awhile ago and found them inside a triangular piece of the box.
Hope he fixes you up and some.

Call Excalibur and I`m sure you would have it in no time .
The riser bolts are 5/16-18 x 1.750 if memory serves me right . :)

If you're in the States, just call Danny. Fwiw, I read somewhere a long time ago Excal only has 4 factory problems per 1000 xbows.

Sux to be a winner in that lottery, but that's impressive stats in my book.

Looks like a good time for my oft repeated suggestion to put your locale in your profile, hint, hint. :D

Sorry you had a problem. Did you find the big stompin washers that go w/ riser bolts? If not, you'll need them too.

The bolts for mounting the riser to the limbs, the ones to mount the quiver, the scope rings and tools all come in the same bag from the factory. You said the bow was repacked so I would think the shop made the mistake. If that was my store, i would express post/same day the bolts and washers to you at my cost. Any delay excuses from them would send up red flags in my book. I am sure they will make it right..
