Not to totally doubt you BigNasty, but something isn't adding up. :? If you say that you killed the deer, that's fine. I'm more than willing to believe that. But why B.S. us and say that you took it Tuesday morning, 11/1/11?
BigNasty wrote:Same buck that was in the field yesterday, didn't have an idea he was on the property up till then. Killed at 10:30am this morning about 600 yards from the field in a open woods of old standing timber.
PABOWDUDE60 had the following to say:
PABOWDUDE60 wrote:What's up with this Buck . I have received this same pic from 2 different guys. One said this buck was killed in Mongomery Co, PA. and the other guy tells me Near Allentown ,PA.
PABOWDUDE60 wrote:Here is the pic my friend sent me last week.copy and paste it in your browser. It's the same deer. I'm not saying this guy didn't shoot it. But how did I see this same deer pic 10 days ago?
I sent the picture to a buddy of mine. He came back and told me:
That pic has been around the web for about 2 years now. Hell, it's even been rumored to have come from Moore Co. NC. I actually think it was confirmed as an Illinois kill.
So if you did get it, why lie to us and say you got it on Tuesday of this week?

BigNasty wrote:Would it really matter? Life is to short to defend yourself over trivial things to people you don't even know. I sent a pm to your fellow statesman. That's as far as I'm going. I really don't care anymore, believe what you will. All the pictures in the world are not going to change your mind or anyone else's. I know I took the deer, my friends know I took the deer. To me nothing else matters. I'm done, unless anyone would like to pursue gentlemanly means...
Trivial? I would bet the farm that the deer in the picture would be close to a state record, if not a new state record for Virginia. And it certainly would rank near the top of Crossbow arrowed deer. In fact, I would expect such a fine buck would be recorded somewhere in VA game records for 2011. Hardly trivial.

I am genuinely interested in seeing more pics of your deer. Indeed, I think Whitetail Magazine would be interested in doing a story on it.

So could you show us a few more pics of this fine animal?

This is facinating... feel bad for the guy in 2 ways. 1.) If he did shoot it and nobody believes him, that sucks. 2.) If he didn't shoot it, then I feel bad for him. Kinda weird. :?

Unless BigNasty's real name is Joe Kocher and he took the deer in Jasper County, Illinois with a shotgun, I think we're being played. :x I found the following article:

http://www.prairiestateoutdoors.com/ind ... cher_buck/

Notice the slight bend on the right brow tine? See the limb/rock against the left main beam on the ground? What are the odds of 2 bucks this big having the exact same looking rack and the exact same limb/rock on the ground in the picture? So much for not having any pictures taken with the lucky hunter in the picture because he wasn't presentable.

Also, it seems Mr. Kocher's Facebook page was updated over a year ago.

Listed as being posted on March 11, 2010 on Boone & Crocket's website and taken in 2009.

What I'd like to know also is if he got the deer on Tuesday, how he already got it back from the taxidermist??

What I find interesting too is that clearly the deer was taken with a shotgun, but the following was posted:

Thanks for that excellent research 58Cal.

who wants to "shoot" a big buck off the internet tomorrow? Somebody tag Hole-in-the-Horn and tell us how the hunt went down.

I just went and looked at the photo (s) from 2009 and 2010 that was posted of this deer. Unless he had a clone that looked just like it and fell on the same leaves as this pkoto...were being dooped.
