Proud day For Dad

Post by diesel »

My daughter Lauren and I went hunting . Lauren shot her buck after having to wait for 20 min for it to get light enough for her to see. Deer came to the food plot and was eating . An hour and a half later my buck came through looking for does. I do not like to shot small bucks by could not pass up the picture and proud moment of a life time.
Lauren is 13 and this is not her first deer but this is the first time she has field dressed her own deer. Her comments after she was done. " Not to bad after you get in up to your elbows " . LOL
Remember to thank the Lord above for all time you have with your children .

Congrats to both of you, but especially your daughter! :D My little boy helped me clean the turkey we got during the spring. He thought it was pretty gross! It's all part of the "training" though.

Great hunt and good picture. I'd get it framed or use it for the family xmas card this year. Doesn't happen like that every day. My little boy, 9, doesn't mind helping clean deer, fish, or whatever unless the nats or mosquitoes are bad. I'll bet very few 13-yr-old girls know how to gut a deer. Or 13-yr-old boys for that matter.
