Does anyone know if Dan carries used crossbows and if you can trade yours in on a used one or new one.

Yep, on occasion he takes trades. Often it's a matter of buying a part or two to get what you want. Just tell him what you have on your mind and start from there.
Some people just like stepping on rakes
