As Luck would have it

Post by BuckHunter »

Deer season closed the 19th of November here, this morning I went outside to have a smoke with my coffee(i know a filthy habit, but I like coffee, lol) I have 4 apple trees on my back lawn next to the woods and there was a doe eating away, then another and another, I watched the 3 for a while then they slowly wandered back into the woods. then about 45 minutes later when I went to my garage there was a six point buck having a few apples, but he wasn't as comfortable after he saw me as the other one's were and only hung around for a few minutes after, nice to know there is one around after not seeing any during season.
I am who I am, and boy's that pisses my wife off.

Every year we see several different bucks and bunches of does behind the house in May through August. About the time bow season starts, they miraculously disapear, then show up again the following June. It's amazing. Usually get a buck or two behind the house, but the rest of them go somewhere else or become nocturnal or something.

They eat my peaches and plumbs the worst. Ate them all in one night this year. Don't bother the persimons or pears much. The wife hates them, so at least she doesn't say anything about me shooting them so all is good. :)

I hear ya, when I smoke, I like to drink my sugar with coffee and cream.

They(the deer) have a sixth sense. Good to know you still have some around.

crazy deer...here in Ga.the season is still in but you can only take two bucks ,one has to be at least 4 points on one side. I took a small 6 last month..now almost every time i hunt at my favorite spot i see a fairly nice sized buck.i have had the crosshairs(rifle) on him 3 times now and have to hold back.i think he is a 4 but may be a 5 point or even a 6 ..my point is ..he is taunting me.its like he is saying nanner nanner nanner you cant shoot me. he better be glad its me and not some of the guys i know..sad to say they dont care.
