Twighlight DLX Power Adjustment
I have a few questions on the Twighlight DLX Scope.
On the website it says it is a 3-6x44. On the picture it only has a speed adjustment ring. So how do you adjust the power?
Is there still triangles to aim with?
Worth the money? (dont get me wrong..i stand behind excaliburs products)
Thanks

Technically the speed ring is the adjustment in magnification. You turn it down...decreases the magnification and makes the chevron's move further apart. Turn it up and it increases the magnification and moves the chevrons closer. Its how the scope can compensate for the trajectory of an arrow for different poundage crossbows at further yardages. The higher the poundage the flater your trajectory, etc. I haven't held one in my hands, so I can't say if it has the chevrons or not. Just what I had been told that it does.

So if I don't want the luminated reticles, I might as well get the vari-zone. It doesn't sound the the best design to me. ( no disrespect for Excalibur)

I've got a Varizone, a Lumizone and just got a Shadowzone as a warranty replacement for a defective Lumizone. If you don't want the luminated reticle, the Varizone will do just fine. I think for the price the Shadowzone is a good scope. Twilight is a bit of overkill...but that's my opinion.

V-zone is my fav Excal offering, but have no experience w/ new models.
I had an L-zone, when it came time to light it up, my rf no longer worked.
i went back to my truck.........

Man....don't take it so literal. I just meant that in the process of magnification the chevrons appear to move closer or further apart. Didn't mean that they actually move inside the scope.
Re: Twighlight DLX Power Adjustment
My Equinox came with the Varizone. I used it for 2 years and then it screwed up (my fault, not Excal's). I got one with the illuminated reticles (don't know if it was the Shadowzone or the Twilight). Figured it's there if I need it. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I really liked the Lumizone, but I think that the red/green reticles of the Shadowzone are going to be better overall. My 2 cents!
