Lumenok's for my ExoMax and my wife's Vixen?

Post by gunnutjay »

Hey Guys & Gals;

We'd like to start using Lumenok's on our hunting arrows... Currently, we use the carbon FireBolts that came in our Right Stuff Scope kits & the 100 grain Boltcutter broadheads.

We had a look on Lumenok's website & they do sell the FireBolt with the Lumenok installed. Is this my only option? At almost $60 for 3 arrows with Lumenok's installed, they ain't cheap!

How do the Lumenok equipped FireBolts compare weight wise with the NON-Luminok FireBolts? Will they shoot to the same point? I guess what I am thinking here is we could use our regular carbon FireBolts to practise with and then use the Lumenok equipped FireBolts for hunting... Thoughts?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

I can at least tell you MY experience.
I first used Lumenoks on my GT II's with brass inserts and 100 gr heads last year. They flew just fine. I got a buck with them that year. This year I was given the Lumen-Arrows to try. I put it off for a couple of months because I thought I may have to adjust my scope. They were slightly heavier than my regular arrows. I finally decided to weigh them up and shoot some to see if I like them. The Lumen-Arrows were about 13 gr heavier but when I shot them, they hit exactly where my other arrows hit. I never had to adjust my scope and I have shot them time after time at distances to 50 yards. They are perfect and I'm sticking with them. Now I just need a live deer to aim at. :lol: I have not had any of the lighted nocks burn out yet.

I installed my own on my Firebolts and I'm very pleased with them. Took a bit of time but it was not at all difficult.

Call danny miller, he carries the lumenoks that fit the firebolts AND firebolts that do not have the rear insert so all you have to do is stick the lumenok in. His pricing was great as well. I think it worked out to about $14 per arrow, don;t quote me on that becasue i ordered several other things on that order.

Sad part is i don't have his number handy i am sure someonw here can help out with that though
