mounting a sling to an excalibur

Post by bellasboss »

Do they come with swivel studs or holes for mounting them? Must you go with a top mount quiver bracket to use a sling? thanks BB PS any pics would be appreciated.

Yes, both my Exomax & my wife's Vixen came with the studs installed to use a sling. (2008 model bows) As for carrying it with the sling & the factory quiver installed under the bow, either to the right or left, I can't comment... I've always had a munch mount installed that places the arrows above & centered on the bow... A much better location & balances the bow better...

Cheers

My Axiom doesnt have the studs but it is drilled & tapped. You shouldn't have to move the quiver mount.

You can still have a sling and the quiver mounted in the factory position. But I like the quiver on top it just balanced out better. And also I found that the quiver mounted in the factory position was bothering on the back when carried with the sling on the shoulder, so I now have a Munch Mount.

I went in a slightly different direction.
I took the quiver off the bow altogether.
I use a hip quiver instead.
The only time I have an issue with the hip quiver is using my climbing stand.
When in the climber I put the quiver in my backpack.

Another alternative available from Danny Miller. No, it doesn't interfere w/ scope, yes it does if you mount a rf on top of scope.
