The season ends for me

Post by georgiaboy »

The season ended for me today, family commitment's tomorrow & work next weekend will keep me out of the wood's till season's end (jan.15th).
The good lord blessed me with another successful year :D i managed to harvest a small 7pt, a spike & two fat does. I put a bad shot on a small buck ( that one still bother's me :( ) and i gave a hog a warning shot ( swing and a miss   )
And the best part of the season was i did it all with my excal's...from the first day to the last!! :D
For all of you still hunting good luck & be safe!!

Sounds like a great season. Mine started out bad with those 2 wounded mule deer ,I almost quit. But after some comments by the good people on this forum ,I went to a different set up and got a spike in MI. And added a doe with the rifle in WI. Had a few small deer in front of the muzzleloader but just enjoyed watching them. I'm really hooked on hunting with the X-Cal I don't know if I can swing 2 out of state hunts again ,but after giving up smoking, fishing and bow hunting in WI. I did it in 2011 maybe just maybe I can in 2012. Anyway congrats to everyone who could get out and enjoy this great sport. Hope everyone good health for 2012.
