Yes I scout all year. I set up a camera and hope batteries work sometimes when they can. I walk back and look for sheds that I never find. I walk through the woods and check out where the tracks go, nice in the winter but I go back to the woods every 2-4 weeks year round. It helps that I can walk there and dont have to drive someplace else.

It's great scouting now with so little snow. Walking is unusually easy. I like to take a look and get a feel for how many deer survived the hunting. I know they move most winters so my numbers are definitely inaccurate. I've noticed this year I have a coyote and a red fox in the area, daily. Never seen a coyote around this much. I've seen his/her tracks all fall.

I look at it the same way. I am always hunting deer, just can only shot at a sertain time. Love to scout, with three small kids it's hard to get out.LOL.
