Redneck Shootin Bench

Post by bucknbill »

i have been wantin to make me a shootin bench and just never got to it till today, i was puttin up a deer stand friday and a pal of mine spotted this exerciser machine in a junk pile on the landowners place..he told me "there,s your shootin stand"..i never would have thought of it..with the owners permission i picked it up today and went by my son in law,s woodshop..when i told him my plans he got it out of the truck and with about 30minutes time and a few "presidential solutions" him and the grandsons got r dun ..took off the handle bars and the pedals..this thing is very sturdy and fairly portable..they said it was a rowing type machine..now if i could just make something out of that walking exerciser on the back porch...picture will soon follow thanks to VixChix

Indeed! Looks that that should do the job quite nicely. :)

whats the saying? "necessity is the mother of invention" or something like that. Great Idea.I've seen them & that thought never came to mind. I'll have to keep an eye out for one. Just add a few sand bags to rest the stock on. Good job.

I still don't see the "Redneck" part of it. Fine looking shooting bench. A little finishing touches to the seat and bench and you would think it was purchased at Bass Pro or Cabelas.
