Any ideas
Why doesn't Luminok make a lit nock, that would thread into the firebolts? I wonder if it would throw them to far out of balance, I can't see the length being an issue and the threaded nock would be ideal for a ground to illuminate them.

No ground on a carbon arrow ever and only possible ground on an aluminum is if it's stuck deep in terra firma.and the threaded nock would be ideal for a ground to illuminate them.

Re: Any ideas
The nock has to "float" inside the shaft to work. The force of the string on the nock when fired pushes the nock forward inside the arrow shaft so the nock contacts the end of the shaft and lights up. To turn it off you wiggle the nock while pulling it back out from the end of the shaft.

Re: Any ideas
Ray , the battery on the lumi nock can not be changed , it is moulded into the nock .
Re: Any ideas
They're making the new models so that you will be able to change the batteries.Farmer wrote:Ray , the battery on the lumi nock can not be changed , it is moulded into the nock .
Like j.krug said, it's got be able to be pushed and make contact with the shaft for it to come on. By screwing into the flat nock, there won't be anything to "push in". Also, I suspect with it sticking out the end of the arrow, it would make the length too long, as well as throwing off the FOC more than it would be normally.

The current issue of Crossbow Magazine had an article on Luminocks and they are making ones with replacable batteries nowFarmer wrote:Ray , the battery on the lumi nock can not be changed , it is moulded into the nock .
To be a vegetarian is to listen to the live carrot gradually screaming as it drowns in a pot of boiling water …. Which is more ethical to you ??
