To be a vegetarian is to listen to the live carrot gradually screaming as it drowns in a pot of boiling water …. Which is more ethical to you ??

Are you drawing with an HB only?

Looking good, the more you draw and get back in the swing, the easier and more natural the feel will become.

I am just using a #2 hb from the dollar general and a good eraser.

Very nice Gerald!

Definately about 10x (make that 20x) better than what I've ever been able draw!
(still trying to come up with something witty and interesting to add)

I need to go pick up some pencils and get some more drawings done. Thanks to you, I got off my butt and did the deer pic. When I brought it to work, to copy it, folks were asking for a copy and or if they could buy the original.

I think I'm going to try another drawing, when I get more pencils.

Get those pencils soon once summer gets here it will be harder to find time for drawing.
What are your favored pencils all I have ever used is a plane #2 I had a set of drawing pencils giving to me as a kid but I never used them I got them at the time I stopped drawing I need to search for them.

I have had a full set of Staedtler Mars Lumograph from H4 all the way through to B6. You'll find the higher B pencils better for shading and fine detailing. The H pencils are great for starting, being that they are light.
