This is absolutely ridiculous, I wont state my opinion, because it isn't fair to stereo type. I can't believe one person can throw a red flag on opinion and create such havoc! :? They have the audacity, to think they're justified in their actions!

Good Lord. If that happened here I would own the whole town and part of the State also cause the school sytem would be mine also after all the lawsuits were finished.

Funny thing is I carry 24/7 and usually have at least two weapons available. My home has pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, bows, crossbows, reloading equipment and both black powder and gun powder along with primers. I would imagine that would have got that poor gut a life sentence. Here it is pretty much the norm.

Not here, it means panic, thanks to politically correct folks or should I say incorrect!

This is what's wrong with our system, innocent folks are put under the same blanket as criminals, with a simple assumption.

They went waaaaaaaaay too far, and way too fast. But this guy has a past criminal record. I think it would have been a good idea to investigate but in a whole different manner then what they did. But thats just my opinion from the outside looking in. Who knows exactly word for word what that kid told the principal, teachers and cops when she was pressured for information.

The guy has two charges from the past over one event, and that makes it right? Who here is the same person now as you were when you were a teenager. Everyone makes mistakes.
As for statments later the kid may have made, it is the organisations trying to pass the buck because lawsuits they see. Each wants to blame the other group. I can certainly see Childrens Aide making the thing something it wasn't. They have no authority above them and are the only goverment organisation that doesn't have a watchdog above them so when they hit ground they never have been they can make up rules as they go along. I have seen it with my own eyes. Get in as many houses as they can so come spending cuts they can say don't make cuts to us, we helped 10 000 families last year when in fact they ruined about half of the homes they entered.
Think it will be more tramatic what they did to the kids, putting them in a foster home away from there mother, away from there home. The kids are not going to forget that experiance.
Thought this country we were innocent till proven guilty? Believe me if they could have charged him with something they would have to protect themselves from lawsuit. To let him go with no charges tell me cops are trying to distance themselves from the situation and Childrens Aide.
I know alot of cops and not one has a good thing to say about Children's Aide. They are needed but they need rules to follow like everyone else.

This is right up there with the incident a few months back where a young boy got suspended for taking bites out of his pizza slice to make it into the shape of a gun. Nanny state system failure for sure. It really has gone too far. The sad part is all the agencies are spewing bullsh!t and justifying their actions?? I used to bring my stepdad's hunting magazines to school and made him a gun rack in shop class....now we're putting families through hell 'cause their 4 year olds draw pictures of guns??? :? Outrageous!!

Here's what Ezra Levant had to say about this incident on The Source.

It is plain wrong to do things the way they were handled. I guess because there have been a few kids going to school with guns and shooting their classmates it tends to spark immediate worry in the school system, if they do not address the situation and a child turns out to be one of those shooters it would come back on them for having a sign that they ignored and others ended up dying for it. This being said however I am quite sure a simple discussing with the child could have explained the picture and given them clues that a child has a toy gun,a BB gun or a parent is a hunter or even that daddy keep them on a livingroom table each day and may be a gang member and they should investigate. But that investigation should start with discussing what happened, first with the child and then the parents and police only if necessary rather than immediately assuming that something is wrong in the home.

here in the USA in 41 states you have the right to resist an unlawful arrest even to the point of taking a life. In oklahoma an individual is justified in resisting, by force if necessary, an illegal
interference with his liberty. The attempt detain or arrest someone better have proper documentation around here before you attempt such a thing..I know most know that around here and I think its a good thing..It provides that the peace keepers make sure they have something before they attempt to detain you and they know it. I have friends who are law officers and thats the last thing they would ever do..not because we are all bad ass but because of the legal recourse following such blunders not including the chance that you may get shot in the process..what a shame that was for that guy..

Ezra Levant's take on this...dead on.

It really does sound like something out of The Onion...but it's real...scary scary real. My daughter talks about shooting deer and turkeys all the time, because that's what daddy does. She's going to school in September.

Let's just say I have Ed Burlew's number and Solomon Friedman's number in my wallet and I know how to shut up and wait to talk to them if the cops want to haul me in for a similiar situation. Search without a warrant and then make the guy sign off on it after the fact? Is this Canada or a backwards European nation?
